March 4, 2018 – The ESA All-Star Team wrapped up two great weeks on the North Shore of Oahu surfing the seven-mile miracle from sun-up to sun-down each day.
As always, Hawaii provided powerful waves that challenged some of the most elite young surfers from all over the east coast. The All-Stars made the trip to Hawaii with fellow team members and experienced mentors who guided them along the way.

February 3, 2018 – The Eastern Surfing Association (ESA) is excited to announce that Surfer Dudes® will be the presenting sponsor for all of the ESA’s post-season championship events for 2018 and 2019, including The Easterns®. As the world’s largest amateur surfing organization, ESA just celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017. Its continued goal to introduce competitive surfing to various demographics, including younger groms along the east coast, Great Lakes and Gulf Coast of Florida, makes Surfer Dudes and ESA a great match.
Surfer Dudes is the world’s first self-righting self-surfing toy powered by waves – no batteries required, just the energy found in surf. Named Outdoor Toy of the Year in 2015 by Toy and Hobby Retailer Industry Awards, Surfer Dudes are the World’s First Surf Boomerang®.
Jordan Reardon, COO of Surfer Dudes, said, “Surfer Dudes is particularly thrilled by the family atmosphere ESA creates. It’s common to see two and three generations together at their events. After all, the beach and surf are great places for families to be together…for both the young at heart and young in age.”

January 26, 2018 – The Eastern Surfing Association announced its incoming 2018 All-Star Team members Friday evening at Surf Expo. The ceremony, which took place at the beginning of the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame’s event, brought together several generations of east coast surfers.
“It was the perfect way to bring together ESA’s elite surfers with the older generation who have greatly impacted surfing along the east coast,” said Michelle Sommers, ESA’s executive director. “Most inductees into the Hall of Fame have ties to the ESA throughout their years so it makes sense to showcase our up-and-coming talent.”

Cecil Lear, one of the ESA’s co-founders said, “It was a great time having the young kids on the stage with those being inducted. Everyone was on board to bring everyone together as it just makes sense.”
