ESA In Their Own Words: Dean Randazzo |
|
"T he ESA was huge for me! All of the trips to Cape Hatteras, very fun and memorable times! The ESA was a building block, stepping stone into bigger competitions. "Surfing the Local ESA contests I always looked forward to the East Coast Championships in Hatteras every year. Coming from New Jersey and getting to surf against all of the East Coast talent helped bring my level up a lot.

Great Lake surfers from Superior, Michigan, and Erie will be paddling out Noon EST (11 CST) this Sunday, November 15th, to honour and remember Magilla. We call upon all our ESA brethren to help promote similar activities around other East Coast breaks. It would go a long way in comforting his family, as well as serving as a fitting tribute to a GIANT of a man.
Any pictures would also be appreciated IMMENSELY by his family. Please don't hesitate to contact

Eastern Surfing Association Board Of Directors Votes To Leave Surfing America |
|
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — NOVEMBER 4, 2009 Eastern Surfing Association®, the 10,000 member governing body of amateur surfing for the East Coast of the United States, today announced their immediate withdrawal from Surfing America in an October 2009 Board of Directors vote. While the Eastern Surfing Association (ESA) continues to support their members who participate in Surfing America events, the secrecy with which Surfing America instilled the Surfing America Prime Series, without the input of the ESA, led to a majority vote to leave the national governing body of surfing. In contrast to the bylaws that govern Surfing America, the ESA had no input in the conception, creation, and execution of the Surfing America Prime events- three of which are being held on the East Coast of the United States. |
