TransWorld Surf and ESA Announce New Partnership
The Eastern Surfing Association is pleased to announce their partnership with TransWorld Surf, a division of Time Warner. The announcement was made at Surf Expo in Orlando Saturday evening, January 13, at a special presentation. ESA Executive Director Debbie Hodges introduced TransWorld Surf Associate Publisher Liam Ferguson on stage Saturday evening with much enthusiasm from the crowd. Hodges was quoted as saying “This is a monumental sponsorship for the ESA. Going into our 40th year, the ESA is excited to be working with such an innovative and exciting media partner who will help us take the heart and soul of the ESA to the next level.” This is truly a fresh energy for the ESA; said Brian Broom Competition Director.

Transworld SURFTransWorld Surf will provide the most comprehensive media package ever offered to a US surfing organization, with extensive coverage of not only the Easterns®, but also all 3 Regional Championship events, East Coast Scholastics and events in all 26 ESA districts.

Hodges further commented “This is truly a partnership of leaders in the sport. TransWorld Surf’s superb articles and cutting edge photography and the ESA’s far flung and pioneering programs makes for a perfect combination. We’re stoked to be going forward with such a great media partner.”

The ESA, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is the largest surfing organization in the US with over 8000 members. The ESA’s districts run from Maine to Alabama, plus the Great Lakes and Puerto Rico.
