For the first time in its history, the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships were hosted in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Boasting a crowd of around 450 competitors and spectators, the competition quickly mounted as the waves were driven in from an off shore low pressure system. There were plenty of waves as well as activities for the three day event.
