Fellow members and competitive members, in an almost unanimous vote by the ESA Board of Directors last month the ESA has adopted a new policy with 4 man heats over 6 man heats for its Championships in Cape Hatteras this year...
This is most definitely an exciting progression in surfing for the ESA and its competitive members. We will be doing what the surf industry has been doing for awhile now without us losing our core principals and values that the Eastern Surfing Association has always stood for and strived hard to maintain. We are excited to bring this good news to you the members and ask that you follow our Competition page for all the latest updates on this new format.
On a related note on Cape Hatteras, we are strictly listing (as we have in the past) our dates as tentative until we receive our permit from the National Park Service. The permits have been applied for and now it is a waiting process. Until they are received, only then will we delete the word “tentative” from the website.
