SUNDAY, September 20
7:00am-5:00pm: Adult competition begins at the Lighthouse Jetty.
Sunday evening: 6:00pm to 9pm Transworld SURF presents the 42nd Annual ESA Kick Off Pool Party with catered barbecue and live music.
Club Hatteras Pool Deck, Hatteras Realty; Hwy 12 Avon, NC. MONDAY, September 21
7:00am-5pm: Adult competition continues at the Lighthouse Jetty.
Monday evening: No official ESA activities planned. TUESDAY, September 22
7:00am-4:00pm: Adult competition concludes; adult awards ceremony to follow at Natural Art Surf Shop.
Tuesday evening: ESA All Star adult party hosted by SURF NANO location TBA. WEDNESDAY, September 23
7:00am-5pm: Youth competition begins at the Lighthouse Jetty.
Wednesday evening: Transworld SURF/ESA Pizza party. Location TBA. THURSDAY, September 24
7:00am-5pm: Youth competition continues at the Lighthouse Jetty.
Thursday evening: ERGO and REAL WATER SPORTS party at Real Water Sports starting at 6 pm to ??? Lots of great food, prizes, music and movie premier. Competitors get in free - Please see Denis at the ERGO Tent on the beach for your wristband. FRIDAY, September 25
7:00am-5:00pm: Youth competition continues at the Lighthouse Jetty.
Friday evening: ESA All Star youth party hosted by SURF NANO location TBA.
SATURDAY, September 26
7:00am-5pm: Youth competition concludes at the Lighthouse Jetty.
Awards ceremony and announcement of the chosen All Stars presentation at Natural Art Surf Shop will follow immediately after contest.
Saturday evening: No official ESA activities planned.
SUNDAY, September 27
Backup day for wave/weather delays. Keep checking here and at TransworldSurf for updates! Fellow ESA members: In a nearly unanimous vote by the Board of Directors last month, the ESA adopted a new policy of 4-man heats for The Easterns® in Cape Hatteras this year. This is most definitely an exciting progression for the ESA and its competitive members. We will be doing what the surf industry has been requesting for awhile now, without losing the core principles and values the Eastern Surfing Association has always stood for and strived hard to maintain. We are excited to bring this good news to you, and ask that you follow our website at www.surfesa.org and click on "Competition" for all the latest updates on The Easterns® and this new format. On a related note regarding Cape Hatteras, we are strictly listing our contest dates (as we have in the past) as "tentative" until we receive our permits from the National Park Service. The permits have been applied for, and we are awaiting approval. Only when permits are received will we delete the word "tentative" from the website. Good surf comes to those who wait.
